Aardstroom

Privacy

We sell data protection competence. It would be embarrassing to run a tracking farm on our own website, so we do not.

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and makes no request to any third party. Fonts are served from this domain rather than from Google. There is no contact form. There is nothing here asking for your consent, because there is nothing to consent to.

Who is responsible

Aardstroom B.V. (i.o.), represented during incorporation by Thomas Thijs. Postal address and company details are on the imprint. For anything on this page, write to thomas@aardstroom.com.

What happens when you visit this page

The site is served from a virtual private server operated by Hostinger in the European Union. Like any web server, it records the technical details needed to deliver a page and to keep the service secure: your IP address, the page requested, the time, the referring page if any, and your browser's user agent string. Those logs are held for a short period and are not linked to anything else, not used to build a profile, and not shared for any other purpose.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functioning website.

What happens when you email us

Mail to thomas@aardstroom.com is received by Hostinger and forwarded to a Google mailbox, where we read and answer it. Your address, your message and any attachment are processed for the purpose of answering you and, where it leads somewhere, for the business relationship that follows.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for general correspondence.

We keep correspondence for as long as it is needed for the relationship, and afterwards only for as long as a statutory retention period requires. Please do not send special category data, client evidence or anything confidential by ordinary email. If you need a secure channel for that, ask and we will arrange one before you send anything.
